Lycaeides melissa
Butterfly of the LYCAENIDAE family. Aproximatly 1 inch in wingspan. Species prefers open spaces such as meadows of clover, fields of alfalfa, and grassland prairies.
The bottom picture is great

The colors in the first one did turn out really intense.
ReplyDeleteI had to slow the shutter speed way down to try to get them spinning. I want to try to do it again in the evening so that there is not so much light and I can slow it way down and get them spinning all the way around.
